The holiday shopping season of 2009 is coming to an end, but luckily for retailers and the economy, spending increased 3.6%, during the time from November 1st to December 24th from the same time period last year, according to the latest MasterCard Advisors SpendingPulse report. In fact, in 2008 from November 1st to December 24th, consumer spending actually dropped by 2.3%.
